‘Take Care of Us, Captain’ reveals official poster of Goo Hye Sun!!!!

SBS’s upcoming drama, ‘Take Care of Us, Captain‘, has released their first poster featuring lead actress Goo Hye Sun!
On January 2nd, YG Entertainment shared a poster of Goo Hye Sun in a pilot’s uniform, who gives the camera her trademark mischievous smile. The drama follows the story of a passionate co-pilot who’s determined to move up to becoming a full-fledged pilot. Goo Hye Sun plays the role of ‘Han Dajin’, a girl who’s not only lovely, but confident and determined.
She comes to deal with Jin Jin Hee, who plays ‘Kim Yoon Sung’, the youngest professional pilot on the team.
The drama begins airing on January 4th!

T-ara’s Eunjung tweets about her injured ankle from ‘MBC Gayo Daejaejun’!!!

T-ara‘s Eunjung shocked fans when she stood on stage with pink slippers during 2011 MBC ‘Gayo Daejaejun‘.
Eunjung was selected to be one of the emcees for the ’2011 MBC Gayo Daejaejun’ which was broadcasted live on December 31st. While Eunjung’s fellow MCs dressed in elegant fashion for the event, Eunjung was captured wearing questionable pink slippers with her beautiful long dress.
Many viewers were amused at the fashion choice, and Eunjung later explained, “I was wearing the pink slippers during MBC’s ‘Gayo Daejaejun’ because I accidentally tripped while going down the stairs.”
She also added, “They told me that they wouldn’t do a full-shot so I was also surprised when I saw the screen… hot pink slippers with a black dress… I guess it could have been worse.”

On January 2nd, Eunjung shared an updated about her sprained ankle while on the set of her drama, ‘Queen Insoo‘. ”Currently shooting for ‘Queen Insoo,” she said. “I’m constantly massaging my ankle while chanting, ‘Get a hold of  yourself, please heal ankle’. Every year at about the same time of year, I become a slave to crutches. Pray for me so that it can heal faster! Complaining while I’m massaging my ankle.”
In the pictures, Eunjung is wearing a white hanbok while resting her ankle on the desk. Netizens sympathized as Eunjung pouted over her bandaged injury.

B2ST will perform a new song at their Seoul concert next month!!!

B2ST has revealed that they’re busily preparing for their next new song.
Representatives of Cube Entertainment revealed on January 2nd, “B2ST will be releasing their first new song of 2012 before the start of their world tour. The song will be performed next month for the first time at their Seoul concert.”
As previously revealed, the boys will be touring 21 cities worldwide starting February 4th. They’ll also be releasing three digital singles before a final mini-album in April.
The representative continued, “During their world tour, B2ST will be presenting their fans with songs from a variety of genres like ballad, medium tempo, and dance.”
In related news, the group recently took home the ‘Song of the Year’ award at the ‘2011 KBS Music Festival‘ with “Fiction“.

TEEN TOP has been promoting their “Driving Me Crazy” comeback with a myriad of photo teasers. This time, they’ve released concept photos of members Ricky and Chunji!
Updated through their official homepage on January 2nd, the picture features the same rebellious concept from their previous teasers. The ominous blue filtering makes the boys look like they’re up to no good, a definite change from their previous image.

Super Junior’s Siwon sends his New Year’s greetings from the Philippines!!

Super Junior‘s Siwon has tweeted his New Year’s greetings from the Philippines!
On January 2nd, Siwon wrote on his twitter, “I am currently in Manila for a commercial shoot! I’m sending my regards right now because it isn’t midnight here yet. A lot has happened in the year 2011 — I wish everyone the best for the year 2012. Happy New Year, everybody. I love you!”
As a nod to the festivities, the idol is dressed in a crisp white shirt with a black skinny tie. He’s cupped two hands in front of his mouth, as if to shout, “Happy New Year!”

Bobby Kim prepares to release new album with Buga Kingz!!!

It looks like Bobby Kim is finally buckling down to work on a new album with his hip-hop group, Buga Kingz.
On January 2nd, an associate of Bobby Kim’s shared with OSEN that ”We haven’t talked much about the logistics, but I think the next thing that he will work on is the long-awaited album with the Buga Kingz“.
The Buga Kingz had already released their first digital single, “Number One“, in November and planned on releasing their next album around that time. However, since Bobby Kim joined the popular singing program ‘I Am A Singer‘, the album’s release date got pushed back.
Bobby Kim had been a fan favorite on the show, thanks to his smooth vocals and clever incorporation of raps in his remakes of classical Korean hits. Though he delivered a great cover of ‘Double‘ by Kim Gun Mo on January 1st, he was eliminated from the competition.
Bobby Kim commented, “‘I Am A Singer’ is a program that saved me. It helped me sing and be loved for my talent — after my accident, it made me feel alive again. I am truly grateful and happy“.

Yoon Du Jun Signs a Note to Jung Hyung Don!!!

B2ST’s Yoon Du Jun signed a note to Jung Hyung Don promising to visit the shooting site of the program hosted by the comedian alongside his teammates. The note was posted on the official Twitter of MBC Everyone’s Weekly Idol.


The note read, “I, Yoon Du Jun, am willing to accept the invitation from Doni hyeong who I love, and vow to visit the shooting place of Weekly Idol with the five other members of B2ST as soon as B2ST makes a comeback.” Yoon signed the note with his thumbprint. Netizens who saw the note reacted by saying, “It′s a witty note”, “I’m looking forward to B2ST’s comeback”, “Go, the winner of grand prize, idol group B2ST,” and “Who came up with that idea? CHAOS’s Taeyang changes his name to ‘Park Taeyang’ due to fan complaints!!!

Earlier this week, Piggy Dolls‘ label revealed that they would be debuting a funky boy group named CHAOS.
Fans quickly noticed that one of the members was named Taeyang, the same as Big Bang‘s Taeyang, and expressed their immediate disapproval over the usage. Since Taeyang is already using the name, fans of Big Bang asked the company to use a different name. The company complied, revealing that Taeyang will include his last name into his stage name, thus becoming ‘Park Taeyang‘.
Winning InSight revealed, “Taeyang’s name isn’t a stage name but his real name. He used to promote under the name Park Taeyang back in 2004. We’ll make sure to include his last name in his future promotions, and hope this clears up any misunderstandings.”

Lee Jung expresses his anger over false reports on his relationship!!

Earlier this week, singer Lee Jung confessed that he was dating a non-celebrity while guesting on KBS Joy‘s ‘The Chair Korea‘.
Soon after the reports were made, seven more were released falsely claiming that Lee Jung’s agency had denied that he was in a relationship.
On December 29th, he tweeted, “I’m usually not even in the media, so why am I, all of the sudden? Am I the trend now? Anyway, why can’t they just believe what I say and write it down accordingly? I honestly admitted that I had a girlfriend, so what? Don’t you all date?”
He continued, “And what’s all this about me denying my relationship?… What would you think if there was a risk of us breaking up because of these issues?”
Netizens commented back, “Just ignore all of them,” “Fiind strength, fighting!” and “It must be so hard to be a celebrity.”

KARA beats AKB48′s Maeda Atsuko’s record of most Blu-ray discs sold in first week!!!

Korean girl group, KARA recently made their best BD (Blu-ray disc) sales record in Japan yet!
On December 28th, according to Oricon, ‘KARA Vacation 2‘ which was released on December 21st sold a total of 7,000 copies in it’s first week achieving #1 in the ‘weekly idol image’ category.  This record is the highest ever recorded for first week BD sales.
Until now, Maeda Atsuko, member of Japanese girl group AKB48, held the #1 spot as she sold 4,000 BD copies in her first week.  However, she has now fallen to second place as Kara sold 3,000 more copies.
This isn’t the first time Kara grabbed the top spot in the BD sales category.  Last year, they rose to #1 for BD sales, making this year their second year of dominating Blu-ray sales in Japan.

Taeyang opens up about his friendship with G-Dragon and Big Bang’s future!!!

Big Bang‘s Taeyang recently sat down for an interview with Star News and discussed the infinite trust he has in his members, as well as the strong bond between them.
He began, “We went through a lot of obstacles this year, but that has made our friendship that much stronger.”
Taeyang’s already known to be the best friend of G-Dragon, having joined YG Entertainment together when they were just little kids. Taeyang expressed, “As a friend, I was upset about what happened to Jiyong. Jiyong will always be a friend that is closer than family to me. Even if worse things were to happen, I’ll never be able to let go of his hand. I believe that this goes the same for Jiyong. To me, Jiyong is a friend that I’ll be with forever.”
In October, a Twitter post that he had made became the source of controversy once G-Dragon’s marijuana case broke out. For the first time, he opened up by stating, “What I wrote had nothing to do with Jiyong at all. It was just my thoughts on the world. It made me really upset that my words were being misunderstood like that.”
Taeyang also made sure to touch on his friendships with the rest of the members. “Big Bang is still living in a dorm together. It has come to a point where we don’t need to say everything outloud in order to understand one another, just like how families are… During break, we got together to work on a lot of songs. Many new songs have already been made. We’re just putting the finishing touches on our album now.”
When asked about Big Bang’s plans for 2012, he concluded, “We’ve had an annual concert named ‘Big Show’, and that will take place in March in 2012. We’re also going to release an album around that time… In 2012, Big Bang will be working to promote actively and pay back our fans who have trusted us with great music. Of course, my solo album, which I’m currently working on in addition to Big Bang’s album, will also be released.”

Rooftop Moonlight and Verbal Jint to perform on ‘M! Countdown’ for the very first time!

For the first time in their careers, indie duo Rooftop Moonlight and veteran rapper Verbal Jint will perform on the December 29th episode of Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘.
Although the two received much love all year long for their outstanding musical qualities, this is their first time performing on a public music program. Producers of Mnet commented, “We’ve prepared special stages for artists that ranked high on the charts but were hard to see on TV, along with our standard line-up of K-Pop artists.”
They continued, “We promise to work towards being a music program that that captures the diversity of our music while still maintaining the purpose of our program.”

‘Music Bank’ to hold concerts in Paris, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and Buenos Aires in 2012!

KBS’s ‘Music Bank‘ is setting out to be the leader of the growing Hallyu wave, as they’ve just confirmed that they will be bringing the show to four overseas cities next year!
Starting with Paris in February, the show will be stopping by Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and finally Buenos Aires, with other cities currently being negotiated. Producers of the show are busy trying to line up artists for the overseas performances.
Back in July, ‘Music Bank’ managed to gather 45,000 people for their ‘Music Bank in Tokyo K-Pop Festival‘, and is the only music program out of the weekly line-up attempting to take their show overseas. After seeing the success of their Tokyo Dome concert, producers of the show promised, “We’ll continue to support and aid in the spreading of Korean culture all over the world.”
This decision doesn’t come without some controversy, however, as some industry officials are of the opinion that TV programs are trying to use the Hallyu wave to their benefit.

Riding on the high levels of anticipation for EXO‘s debut, SM Entertainment has just released a set of photos featuring the four revealed members of the group!
Released on EXO-M‘s official Facebook page, five photos feature KAI, LU HAN, TAO and CHEN relaxing indoors. Dressed comfortably, the four young men lounge casually while perusing a magazine together on a bed.

2NE1′s Dara and the members of SHINee, the endorsement models for cosmetic brand Etude House, delivered a New Year’s greeting through a video clip.
