Recent data from Japan showed police had 10,000 people killed by the earthquake which accompanied the tsunami bermagnitud 9.0 on Friday (3/11/2011) ago. Then, as news Kyodo, AP, and AFP on Friday (25/03/2011), more than 17,440 people remain missing and 2775 wounded.
There are still about 250,000 people homeless, lack of food, drinking water, and shelter. At least 18,000 homes were destroyed and 130,000 houses were severely damaged.
Although it was damaged by the tsunami, 12 of the 15 ports in Japan's northeastern region have started to function again.
Meanwhile, at the Fukushima nuclear power plant that is damaged, the officials continued their efforts to find the source of leaks that are raising fears of food contamination and drinking water. They hope to soon bring more generators in nuclear power plant for cooling equipment that can function again. On Thursday, two officers rushed to the hospital because of high levels of radiation exposure.
